Storyline

One night Gregor notices that his son hasn't come home. In search of him, his worst worries come true: Julius was brutally beaten up. Driven by pain and helplessness, he tracks down the one, who is responsible. But the image he had of the perpetrator does not match reality. The insight into the difficult life circumstances of the young man opens a new perspective for him. But his decisions have already triggered a dangerous development.

About the director

Max Benyo was born in Berlin in 1991. Since 2005, Benyo has been working as an actor for film and theater under his civil name Max Hegewald. In 2012 he was nominated for the New Faces Award as best young actor. In February 2011 the Golden Camera as best young actor and in 2012 the Studio Hamburg Young Actor Award and in 2015 a nomination for the Jupiter Award. In addition to his work as an actor, he is active as a director and writer. In 2012 he made the episodic film "Die Angsthasen" and in the same year the medium-length film "Schnee Essen". From 2013 to 2016, Benyo studied screenwriting at the Potsdam Film University. During his studies he made the films "Der Schrank" (script), "Schuhbidou" (script,director), "Nachtschattengewächse" (director), "Luft" (director) and "Silvia" (director). Since October 2018 he is a student of the master's program film in the department of directing at the Hamburg Media School, currently the preparations for his debut film are underway.
