Storyline
Polka is a Czech folk dance with jumping, which later began to be performed at balls. The animated film by director and artist Tatyana Musalamova also depicts a ball, but the dancers are unusual guests... frogs who jumped out of their hiding places with the last drops of rain to begin a perky, almost acrobatic dance.
About the film/director
Tatyana Musalyamova was born on December 5, 1979 in Cheremkhovo, Irkutsk region. In 2001 she received a bachelor's degree from the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art with a degree in Design and Graphics. After additional exams, she was selected for the Animation specialization. In 2004, she graduated from the Ural State Academy of Art and Architecture with a degree in Animation Design under the guidance of Oksana Cherkasova and A. Karaev, a diploma on the topic “Project of the animated film ‘Dragonfly and the Ant’”. In the same year, she received the prize for best animated film at the Kinotest in Yekaterinburg.
